THEME
Our theme for 2023 is “Reign.” The idea encapsulates the essence of God’s eternal kingdom and the sovereign rule of Jesus Christ. It serves as a profound reminder that God’s reign is not only a distant concept but a present reality that can transform our lives. This theme invites us to experience a spiritual revival as we embrace Jesus’ lordship within us, allowing His reign to shape our thoughts, actions, and decisions.
“Reign” compels us to submit to His authority, find our purpose in participating in His work, and live out the values of His kingdom in a world that needs His love and justice. Through this revival theme, we are encouraged to seek a deeper connection with Jesus and to live as citizens of His eternal reign, impacting both our personal lives and the world around us.
ABOUT OUR LEADERS
Kevin Russell is the Director of Missions at East Central Baptist Association. He has served in ministry for over 30 years. Kevin has a heart for small churches and we look forward to the challenge he will bring us from God’s Word. Kevin is married to his wife Cherie, a Chandler graduate. Together they raised four daughters, all of whom are active in their local churches. Kevin and Cherie enjoy living in Cookson, OK.
Joel McReynolds serves as our pastor here at CSBC. Joel has over 10 years of ministry experience, with part of that including music ministry. He and his wife, Chelsea, have enjoyed leading others to God’s throne in music for many years.
