PROPOSED CHANGE TO CHANDLER SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH BYLAWS

Article VII – Church Meetings
Section 3: Regular Business Meetings
The church shall hold regular business meetings monthly on the first Wednesday, after the first Sunday.
Proposed Revision:
The church shall hold regular business meetings monthly on the second Sunday of each month.
Explanation of the Proposed Change:
At the regular business meeting on May 7, 2025, the church approved a motion to revise the scheduling of our monthly business meetings. The proposed change would move these meetings from Wednesday evenings to Sunday afternoons. This adjustment is intended to increase attendance and engagement by aligning the meeting time with when more members are already on campus and available.
Only the bylaws—not the constitution—are affected by this revision. In accordance with Article X: Amendments, this proposal is being presented in writing and made available to members at least one month in advance of the vote.
The vote on this amendment will take place at the next regular business meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Adoption requires a three-fourths (¾) vote of the members present.
